1992 – Samex Ltd. is founded.
August 1993 – Samex Ltd. concludes a franchisee agreement with Pepsi Co Int. which makes a start with lay the beginnings of KFC in Bulgaria.
January 1994 – Seven people of Samex team receive training in England and Poland.
27 July 1994 – Birth date of the first KFC restaurant in Bulgaria - KFC “Garibaldi” Sofia. KFC becomes the first world-famous QSR brand which goes to Bulgarian market.
1994 – Samex Ltd launch new chicken KFC product – crispy strips. Only three years later this product becomes one of the most favorite KFC products in Europe.
November 1995 –Two more KFC grand openings happen. 1995 is the year of KFC “Luilin” and KFC “Stamboliiski”.
June 1995 –To cover customers’ needs and expectations, in 1995 Samex Ltd. opens a bake house which starts to produce high-quality bread ware both for KFC and supermarkets.
December 1995 – KFC delivery is initiated.
1995 – KFC Bulgaria develop a new product concept – BonBurger. Presently most of the KFC franchisees include this product into their meals and menus.
August 1996 – KFC “Lion Bridge” opening.
1996 – Samex Ltd. wins a first prize for the best franchisee in Europe concerning the highest growth in sales.
14 December 1999 – Birth date of the first KFC restaurant outside Sofia – KFC “Varna”.
1999 – KFC Bulgaria wins a prize for the best kids program in Europe and second prize for the best advertising campaign strategy.
May 2002 – KFC Bulgaria is awarded for the best marketing strategy in Central Europe.
March 2004 – KFC Bulgaria launch new KFC products concept – “Take Away Box Meals”. The concept introduces two meals – for “chicken lovers” – Chicken Box Meal and for Burgers lovers – Burger Box Meal, which are offered into a special flat box. In 2007 this concept is being developing by the most KFC Franchisees in Europe.
May 2005 - The new design KFC concept is launched. KFC “Dondukov” opens the doors – first restaurant with complete new appearance.
June 2006 – Next grand opening in KFC Bulgaria history in one of the biggest mall in Sofia – City Center Sofia.
May 2007 –Officially, in may 2007 KFC Bulgaria opens a new restaurant in one of the famous Bulgarian sea resorts – Sunny Beach.
